Dr. Gordon Klatt, the Founder of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life passed away on August 3, 2014, from his own battle with cancer. Dr. Klatt believed one person could make a difference. He certainly made a difference! His one Relay in 1985 has grown to be the largest fundraiser of it’s kind. More than 5,200 Relays are held each year in 20 countries.

Ground has been broken for Hope Lodge Houston. It is anticipated to be the largest Hope Lodge in the nation with multiple stories, 64 patient suites, and occupying more than 68,000 square feet. At capacity, it will offer 23,000 nights of lodging per year, represnting a combined savings to patients of over $3 million.
